COVID19 Update:

To Our Respected Clients and Team Members,

As our communities continue to feel the increased impact of Coronavirus, we feel it is important to share with you what we are doing to help keep you safe and healthy. Please be assured we have protocols in place and are working with the CDC and local state behavioral health officials to ensure you are able to continue to receive therapeutic services at the highest level possible with no disruptions.

At this time, we do not anticipate any disruption to your sessions and/or groups and are prepared to deliver an increase in services as it is very important we continue to be available during this tumultuous .  At 1st Priority Institute for Better Living, we strive to take great care of the clients and community in which we serve. We have plans for both individual sessions and groups:

Individual Sessions
As part of our protocols, we are happy to offer remote sessions for anyone who requests them.  This will allow you to take full advantage of your session from anywhere outside of our office. We do this in two ways: 1) Videoconferencing through HIPPA compliant software called ZOOM.  2) Teletherapy though phone sessions.  If you would like to elect either of these options for one or all your sessions, please let your clinician know and they will easily get this set up for you.

We are also happy to continue to see client in the office face to face.  Our building and offices are sanitized at least 3 times per day including door handles, hand rails, and common high touch areas.  Our separate lobby and several of our offices can also accommodate the recommended 6 feet of distance between you and your clinician during in-person visits.

Groups Sessions
As many of you know, DUI/DWAI groups are mandated by the state in curriculum, delivery, content, and duration.  At this time, we are directed to follow OBH rule which states we are to conduct groups via videoconferencing.  We will help each client navigate how to join group via ZOOM with a phone, tablet, or computer. Each group member will simply log in at their regularly scheduled group time.

We recognize this is a time of high anxiety, stress, and adjustment for our country and for many of us as individuals.  Please speak with your therapist and or myself about these issues and increase your support during this time if needed. The research agrees seeking help in advance of feeling overwhelmed lends the best prognosis.

Thank you in advance for your patience as we navigate this challenging situation one day at a time and determine how best to continue serving our clients, while maintaining our focus where it belongs: on the well-being of our clients, team members, and community. Please feel free to contact your therapist or myself directly to further clarify any of our protocols.

All updates will be posted on the website and posted in our office as soon as possible.

Sincerely, Dr. Amber McGregor & Board of Directors

“My counselor was awesome! She was kind and got things done.  I highly Recommend seeing someone at 1st Priority for any problem you have...even if you don't think you have a problem.”

“I was so embarrassed to get a DUI. I worked with the therapists at 1st Priority and they made me feel so welcome and not judged .  The classes were tailored to what we needed as a group and not cookie cutter.  Definitely go here for your DUI classes

Marissa, Westminster, Colorado

“Dr. McGregor knows what she is doing and is not going to waste your time or money. I have had a lot of counselors and she is the only one who actually helped me.

Tommy, Northglenn, Colorado

“Anyone needing to make changes or complete treatment should go to 1st Priority Institute. They will help you and your family and make it easy to get on with your life.”

Johnathan, Denver, Colorado

"My first impression is how pleased I am that I chose 1st Priority for my DUI classes. I believe I was like most, and had a myriad of questions about my situation and I had an insatiable thirst for answers that selfishly pertained to my situation. I was able to quickly develop a rapport with therapists and group members of 1st Priority who provided an ample amount of information that was both practical and pointed"

Karl, Arvada, Colorado
